Self Portrait

 10" x 13 1/2"

Still waters may run deep, and I've got plenty of rocks in my head!

Lara's Quilt

18" x 25"

I tried to make this piece warmer than Dr. Zhivago, which inspired it.

Through A Window

11 1/2" x 22 1/2"

Grown-up version of peekaboo.  Someday I'll make a bed-sized cathedral window quilt, but not yet!

Kua Bay

11" x 11"

Paper-piecing is not my preferred method, but I can do it if I have to.

21" x 39"

When I awoke one morning a couple of years ago to the news that the U.S. had just bombed Baghdad, I created my first art quilt and learned that creating art can serve a therapeutic purpose.

Seven Days Before the Tsunami

20" x 20"

This piece was created in response to a "Bag 'O Stuff" challenge.  We filled a gallon-sized ziplock bag with anything we wanted to and it went to another artist on the list who was to make a wall quilt from what was in the bag.  The bag I received to make this piece contained nearly all silks and satins, something I had not previously worked with.  It is embellished with various beads and machine stitching.
